Fabricator
SIGNS OF THE TIMES is seeking a qualified metal sign fabricator to complement our construction team.
The candidate must have demonstrated sign industry experience in all aspects of metal sign making. The environment for this position is a shop environment. Candidate must be able to work independently, and act as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them.
Under general direction from the Fabrication Manager, this is a production position requiring hands-on knowledge and use of tools & equipment to produce finished products. The best matched candidate would have 5+ years of production experience and be comfortable in a hands-on role working in a deadline-oriented environment.
Duties:
- Set up materials and machines based on the job at hand.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Sand and polish steel and aluminum components based on the specifications.
- Operate machinery used in production process or assist machine operators.
- Assemble products as instructed by floor supervisor.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards, per company policy.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare product for shipment/installation.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment/installation manually (up to 50 lbs.)
Items that will be expected to know or to be trained on:
Welding, Metal Fabrication, Acrylics, Torch, Grinder/Cutting Wheel, Metal Shears, Painting, Vinyl Application, and much more.
